Mission Rhino 2020 Movement

Youth Movement for Rhino
Team for Nature and Wildlife (TNW), working for the conservation of endangered wildlife species since its inception has launched "Mission Rhino 2020 Movement" on 23rd September 2009(National Conservation Day) to save the Rhino with youth led activism. This is the first youth movement for rhino conservation in the conservation history of Nepal.

The movement carries out a series of programs at central (national) and local level in the country to control rhino poaching by the year 2020.

Central Level Programs
• Conservation Education through documentary shows, Green Theatre
• Conservation Talk Show
• Conservation Workshop
• Lobbying for Wildlife friendly Governmental Policies and Programs
• Monitoring and follow up of judicial and quasi-judicial decisions on wildlife crimes
• Protest against anti-wildlife action
• Wildlife Cases’ Research and Information Dissemination through Media (right to information)
• Advocacy for Wildlife Rights to Security

Local Level Programs
• Conservation Education
• Conservation Workshop
• Monitoring and follow up of judicial and quasi-judicial decisions on wildlife crimes
• Women’s Economic Development (WED) through Natural Resources Management
• Youth Economic Development (Youth empowerment for Green Job)
• Assistance for Anti Poaching Activities (AAPA)
• Wildlife Victims Welfare
• Research and investigation
