Coordinator’s Reporting:
The University of College London and Engineers without Boarders (EWB) have started working on the development of (Saraswati Vidya Mandir) or Thami School as the eco-friendly/disaster resistance school. In this regard, the UCL and EWB are taking applications from the students of UCL and choosing 3 students having expertise on eco-friendly and disaster resistance school development to take part in the project as a volunteer.
The team of volunteers is coming to Nepal on January 2012 to design the school. The project will be completed within 2012. The school will be designed as an earthquake resistance. The school will completely have an eco-friendly design installing structures like rainwater harvesting system, eco-friendly sanitation structures, solar system etc.
