Greetings!

A team of prominent environmentalists, environmental organizations, environmental media group, indigenous groups, college youths and environment conscious people formed the Climate Watch Alliance (CWA-Nepal) with an initiative of TNW.A consultative meeting was held on 2nd July 2009 in this regard at the office of Nepal Forum of Environmental Journalists (NeFEJ).

CWA-Nepal is a Nepal-based multisectoral alliance of individuals and organizations engaged in climate change advocacy. This is in response to the growing global campaign to address the issue of climate change and to get underway a corresponding, yet, grassroots-oriented campaign in Nepal. Although a wide range of climate awareness activities are being carried out by several organizations but there is still much more to do on this issue.This could only be possible with a coordinated and collective effort of all stakeholders. This alliance will not be a project implementing body and replacement of environmental networks.

Note:
CWA-Nepal is colleting 50 stories of people who are going to launch and have already launched result oriented green projets.CWA will try to back up those people in generating resources. CWA has a plan of publishing a book of success stories.
